Adventure Program Development
Adventure programming is a unique blend of traditional education, counseling, training and recreation with more innovative approaches utilizing experiential education, nature, adventure and the outdoors as tools for change.
Group initiatives and adventure/challenge activities are used to develop an environment of trust, cooperation, perceived risk and teamwork in which individuals and groups can achieve new levels of growth in a fun, non-threatening manner.
Adventure programming is primarily experiential in nature, working under the premise that we learn best by our experience. Metaphors are used as powerful tools to facilitate growth in a way in which participants' learning can be easily transferred into real-life situations.
At The Summit, we have twenty years of experience and over thirty thousand client days to our credit at working with many diverse groups. We provide a full range of adventure based, experiential education, counseling, training and team-building activities that can be utilized practically anywhere.
